Peach Nom Nom

So here I am again. Thursday's family dessert is Bakerella's Peach Crunch Cake at my in-laws. I made half the recipe. Apparently Duncan Hines makes a half box of cake mix very convenient for making cupcakes for just me and my hubby. I also made only half because I didn't know if the fam would really like it. To be completely honest I don't like fruit desserts except cherry or berry fruit based. But it looked really yummy so I gave it a whirl. And let me tell you, I liked it and I can't wait to make it again.
So I got all the ingredients together for a photo op.


I weighed the peaches for exactly half of what the recipe called for (I'm a little OCD)

Then I cut them into bite sized pieces.


Then it was simply layering the ingredients.
Cake mix

Butter
Brown Sugar
and Walnuts (I had to chop them up before I sprinkled them on top)



Then into the oven it went to bake, I got a photo of the Peach bake when it was almost done. But, since I can be such a Dodo I didn't take one completely done with its beautiful brown top :(


I wish I had thought to make some whip cream to go with it because it would have been fabulous!!! There is definitely going to be a next time for this recipe.
