GO GATORS!

So I couldn't resist. I'd rather bake cookies than study for finals. In honor of graduation I made UF cookies. I used a recipe from the cookie craft book posted by this blogger. I tried to figure out what my cookie should look like and sketched some ideas then decided to try something easy. I gathered all the ingredients. Used my round cookie cutter to make perfect circles. Tinted royal icing in blue and orange and had fun decorating. I wasn't sure how to go about decorating so I went in and just did it. I definitely could have made them better looking but they turned out satisfactory and pretty tasty.

I individually wrapped cookies to give to my family at dinner after graduation as a thank you for their love and support.

Guess what?!? I passed and graduation was fun. But I am never going back to school again!

More to come later...

My final semester of school is winding down and I don't anticipate another post until I walk on April 30th (at least if I pass all my classes)

Easter Eggs

I love Easter!

I know this isn't at all about baking but it is about making pretty things and I had a lot of fun doing it with my husband. We hard boiled some eggs then went to town with the SpongeBob decorating kit I bought last year at an after Easter sale.

not so homemade

My husband loves store bought cake mixes.

He actually prefers them over something homemade. Since I was about 11 I have made my own baked goods from scratch.
Since I love my hubby so much I bought him the spring funfetti cake mix and canned frosting.

I did get a cupcake kit from Urban Outfitters that I was really excited to use.

And of course I would give anything to play with my decorating tips!
So Enjoy the photos!

I brought this set to my in-laws (open star tip)

I brought these to my parents (french tip)

They were yummy.
